Beauty Dungdung was born in Karangaguri village in Simdega district, Jharkhand, a region known as one of India’s strongest hockey nurseries. She comes from a family deeply connected to the sport. Her father Ambrose Dungdung and grandfather Gulm Dungdung both played hockey at the national level. She studied at SS Balika High School in Simdega and began her hockey journey at the Simdega Sports Hostel, where coach Pratima Barwa helped her develop the fundamentals of the game. Her talent became evident at a young age, especially during Under-14 competitions in 2016, where she caught the attention of national selectors.

Beauty rose through the Indian junior hockey pathway and made her junior international debut during the India Junior Team’s tour of Chile in 2019. During the tour she scored four goals, including a hat-trick, highlighting her attacking potential. She later represented India at the FIH Women’s Junior World Cup 2021 in Potchefstroom, South Africa, where the Indian team finished fourth. Her leadership qualities were also recognised when she was appointed captain of India’s U-23 team at the 5-Nations Tournament in Ireland, where she was named the Best Player of the Tournament.

Beauty Dungdung made her senior debut for the Indian women’s team at the FIH Women’s Nations Cup in Valencia, Spain in 2022. Since then, she has become part of India’s young attacking unit, known for her pace and sharp finishing inside the circle. She has contributed goals and assists in multiple international competitions and continues to grow as a forward for the national team. She has also featured in events such as: FIH Nations Cup 2022 (Gold Medal), FIH Hockey Pro League 2023–24, Asian Champions Trophy 2024 (Gold Medal).

In the Women’s Asia Cup 2025, she grabbed headlines by scoring a hat-trick in India’s 11-0 win over Thailand, showcasing her attacking instincts and composure in front of goal. At the domestic level, Beauty represents Indian Oil Corporation Limited in national tournaments. She has also participated in the Women’s Hockey India League, playing for teams such as Ranchi Royals and later Rarh Bengal Tigers.
