Vaishnavi Adkar is fast becoming  one of the most exciting names in  Indian sport. Born on 14 December 2004 in Pune, she picked up a  racquet at seven.

A former India No.1 U-14, she  reached a career-high ITF junior  ranking of 115, showing early  signs of something special.

2024 was her breakthrough year — clinching both singles and doubles titles at the ITF W15 Ahmedabad, including her first pro singles crown.

At the World University Games 2025  in Germany, she became the first  Indian woman to win a tennis medal  at the event, claiming bronze.

At the ITF W100 Bengaluru Open 226, she entered as a wildcard ranked No.690 — and left as the  tournament’s biggest story.

She beat three seeded players,  reached her first W100 final  (finishing runner-up), and became  the first Indian woman since Sania Mirza (2009) to make a W100  singles final.
