Thailand Women’s cricketer Nattaya Boochatham has announced that she has decided to step away from international cricket following the team’s victory in the Women’s T20 tournament of the 2025 South-East Asia (SEA) Games. Thailand Women defeated Malaysia in the final match by seven wickets, held in Bangkok on December 19, 2025. The victory got Thailand its sixth gold medal in the SEA Games.

The 39-year-old all-rounder has had a notable career as a top-order batter and spinner. She has featured in 116 WT20Is for the national team, scoring 1035 runs at a strike rate of 79.79 and picking up 126 wickets at an average of 10.89. Besides, she has also featured in 13 WODIs for Thailand Women, scoring 165 runs at a strike rate of 52.88 and taking 12 wickets at an average of 30.66.
Boochhatham notably featured in the Thailand Women’s T20 World Cup squad held in Australia in 2020. In four innings, she scored 54 runs at a strike rate of 68.35. She was also a big part of Thailand’s victory in the ICC Women’s Emerging Trophy 2025 held in Bangkok which they won against Scotland.
She played in the 2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup held in Australia. She helped her country perform well in several Asia Cup campaigns, and Thailand also recently won the ICC Emerging Nations Trophy.
Rosenan Kanoh also bows out
Joining Boochatham, another all-rounder exiting the national team is Rosenan Kanoh. The 26-year-old played a crucial role in Thailand’s Women’s gold medal win in the 2025 SEA Games finals match. At the time, Thailand were at 19/3 in the 4th over, Kanoh entered the batting line-up in no. 5 and performed with confidence and composure while adding an unbeaten 21 runs off 15 balls, including two boundaries and a single six.
Despite their decision to close their individual chapters with the Thailand Women’s cricket national team, both Boochatham and Kanoh will remain an important part of the team’s history. As the 2026 season is upcoming, the team has to fill in the space of these two stalwarts who have been part of Thailand Women’s six SEA Games gold medals and other major appearances, including the World Cup and more.
In the SEA Games 2025, Boochatham ended her campaign with 70 runs scored in four matches at a strike rate of 145.83. Meanwhile, for Kanoh, it was a decent one. In three matches played, she scored 31 runs at a strike rate of 129.16.
