The Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) announced a fee hike for women’s domestic cricketers on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. The revised fee structure has been changed from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 50,000 per match.

This fee is, however, only applicable for the senior players who will be part of the playing XI for the One-Dayers and multi-format matches. Meanwhile, the players kept in reserve will be given a sum of Rs. 25,000, which earlier was Rs. 10,000.
The fee for the T20 format has also changed. The senior players included in the playing XI will receive ₹25,000, while the juniors will get ₹12,500, and reserves will receive ₹6,250.
In addition to that, an increase in the match fees has also been announced by the BCCI that caters to the officials as part of the domestic match, which includes the umpires and referees.
A uniform fee of Rs. 40,000 will be given to them during the league-stage matches. During the knockout stage matches, there can be a remuneration of a fee hike ranging from Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 60,000 per day.
The decision aimed at providing financial security to women cricketers was made during BCCI’s 31st Apex Council meeting held on Monday, December 22. The step has been implemented in effect due to India Women’s historic victory in the recently concluded ICC ODI World Cup 2025. India defeated South Africa in the final match held at DY Patil by 52 runs.

She said, “Well, the T20 format is something which the entire team loves the most. And yeah, I mean I don’t think we need to forget what, you know, we have achieved in the last one month. That is something we worked really hard for it.
“But yeah, things we need to remember what and which has given us the result to be part of at this stage. So I think, yeah, I mean, now we worked really hard, and now it’s a different format, and as a team, we are really looking for the next World Cup.”
