Held at the SAMA Indoor Sports Complex, the WTT Feeder 2026 event was held for the first time in Vadodara and organized by the Sports Authority of Gujarat. On Sunday, January 11, the final day of the event ended with Korea Republic’s Ryu Hanna winning the women’s singles title, while India’s Manush Utpalbhai Shah bagged the men’s title.
In the women’s singles finals match, Ryu defeated qualifier player Anusha Kutumbale in straight games, winning by sets of 11-6, 11-6, 11-5. For the Korean table tennis player, this win was her second of the event. Besides the singles victory, Ryu paired with Yoo Yerin to defeat India’s top-ranked doubles duo of Sutirtha Mukherjee and Ayhika Mukherjee to win the women’s doubles event. Ryu-Yerin defeated the Indian pair in a five-game round. Earlier in the semi-finals, Ryu defeated Syndrela Das by sets of 11-4, 8-11, 7-11, 11-4, 11-9
On the other hand, in the men’s singles finals, Manush made a dominant run over Payas Jain in a five-game round. After losing the first two sets by 7-11, 10-12, Manus made a strong comeback in the remaining three rounds by 11-6, 11-6, 11-8 to claim the title. However, after missing the singles crown, Payas bagged the men’s doubles and mixed doubles titles.
In the men’s doubles event, he, alongside Ankur Bhattacharjee, defeated the pair of Aakash Pal and Mudit Dani to win the title by sets of 12-10, 11-7, 7-11, 11-8. His prominence continued in the mixed doubles event after teaming up with Syndrela. In the mixed doubles finals, Payas-Syndrela defeated the second seeds, Harmeet Desai and Yashaswini Ghorpade, in four games. Syndrela, who lost her chance to make it to the women’s singles finals, earned the chance here.
Earlier in the quarterfinals, unseeded Indian women’s table tennis player Anusha had an impressive run at the WTT Feeder Series 2026. On Saturday, January 10, she made it to the semi-finals of the women’s singles event after securing a comfortable win over fourth seed Yashaswini Ghorpade. Anusha defeated Ghorpade by sets of 11-9, 8-11, 11-3, 11-7 in a 32-minute quarterfinals match. She won her semi-finals match after defeating Sutirtha Mukherjee by 12-10, 11-5, 16-14 to secure her place in the finals with Ryu.
