Anusha clinched the contest 11-9, 8-11, 11-3, 11-7 in a 32-minute encounter, showcasing her ability to dictate rallies and seize key moments against a higher-ranked opponent. The victory further underlined her growing confidence on the international circuit, following her second-round upset of sixth seed Lee Zion earlier in the tournament.

Anusha now faces a stern test in the semifinals against Olympian Sutirtha Mukherjee, who herself delivered a standout performance by knocking out top seed Yang Ha Eun in four games in the quarterfinals. The other women’s singles semifinal will see Korea Republic’s Ryu Hanna take on eighth seed Syndrela Das.

Indian players continued their strong presence across the knockout stages. Sutirtha, pairing with Ayhika Mukherjee, also advanced to the women’s doubles final after a straight-games victory over Park Gahyeon and Lee Zion. The Indian duo will now challenge top seeds Yoo Yerin and Ryu Hanna for the title.

The Vadodara leg marks the first-ever WTT Feeder Series event hosted in the city and is presented by the Sports Authority of Gujarat, with the Table Tennis Association of Baroda serving as hosts and Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) overseeing implementation.
