West Indies Women will open their 2026 international season on home soil with a three-match One Day International (ODI) series against Sri Lanka, scheduled from February 20 to 25 at the National Cricket Stadium, Grenada. The hosts will be led by Hayley Matthews, who returns to captain the side after recovering from a shoulder injury that kept her out of action since mid-2025. All-rounder Chinelle Henry has been named vice-captain, stepping into the role previously held by Shemaine Campbelle.

A major boost for the Maroon Warriors is the return of experienced all-rounder Deandra Dottin, who is back in the squad after missing much of the 2025 season due to injury.

The ODI series will also serve as preparation for a demanding year ahead, with West Indies Women set to face Australia, Ireland, Zimbabwe and Pakistan later in the Championship cycle.

Sri Lanka enters the contest ranked sixth in the ICC Women’s ODI rankings, three places above the West Indies at ninth, setting the stage for a competitive battle. The visitors had the upper hand when the two sides last met in ODIs in Sri Lanka in 2024, adding extra motivation for the home team.
