India’s young squash prodigy Anahat Singh has had a phenomenal season for the last few years to say. Last season, 2024-25, she won nine out of 11 PSA Challenger titles, making her one of the young Indian talents in the sport of squash. Recently, she achieved a new milestone in her career after finishing her maiden PSA World Tour campaign with a bronze title at the Squash on Fire Open event in Washington, held in February 2026.

The World No. 20, Anahat is now preparing herself for a spot in the 2028 LA Olympics. But before that, she is aiming for the women’s singles gold title at the 2026 Asian Games which will be held in Japan in September 2026.
Anahat is confident of her chances of winning the Asian Games title. On Wednesday, March 11, she was part of a virtual interview with Sportstar where she revealed her chances coming in for the tournament.
“I’m really, really looking forward to it. Going into the Asian Games will be a lot different from any other tournament. If I win this event, I will have an automatic selection for the Olympics, which is everyone’s dream. I’m going to push as much as I can and train as hard as I possibly can to try to get a gold,” she said.
The 17-year-old further adds that her rankings will help in moving ahead and competing in major events and challenging the world’s best players. As for now she will compete in the JSW Indian Open starting on March 18 in Mumbai.
“My confidence has grown. I want to do well in bigger events. I grew up playing junior events at the venue CCI International (Mumbai). I want to win the title,” she added.
At the age of 17, Anahat is now an established squash prodigy in 2025 after her historic hat-trick run of Senior National titles and leading India to its first-ever Squash World Cup gold in Chennai. In addition to that she ended India’s 15-year drought at the World Junior Championships with a bronze medal win. She also earned her maiden Top-10 win after defeating World No. 7 Tinne Gilis at the Canadian Open.
