India’s Anahat Singh is the 2026 Indian Open Squash champion after winning the women’s singles titles in the final match. Anahat secured her win in the women’s singles finals after defeating Egypt’s Hana Moataz by 3-1.

Anahat seized early control, winning the first two games by 11-5 and 11-6. Moataz striked back to win the third set by 11-9. The Indian did not take much time to respond back and took the win in the fourth set by 11-6 and sealed the title to her name.
Speaking about her performance in the post-interview, Anahat shared her experience on the tournament, her title victory and shared some insights on her opponent’s performance.
Anahat said, “Going into today, I wanted to win, and I expected myself to win. I knew Hana is a really tough player. She’s been in the PSA Tour a lot longer than I have, and I’ve seen her play before I even got into starting to play in the PSA circuit.
It was great to share a court with someone that I’ve seen for so many years on the PSA Tour, and getting to play with someone like her. I know she wasn’t at 100% because she wasn’t too well throughout the week. So I knew I had to take as much advantage of that as I possibly could.”
Meanwhile, Anahat’s victory marks a new significant milestone who continues to make brilliance on the international platform. This was her second straight Indian Open victory. Last year she had defeated Hong Kong’s Helen Tang in the finals and also bagged her 16th PSA title.
Earlier in February 2026, Anahat won her maiden PSA Bronze-level title during the Squash On Fire Open in Washington. She defeated Commonwealth Games champion Georgina Kennedy of England. Her victory led her way to the world’s top 20 rankings that makes her the youngest Asian player ever to achieve this feat surpassing Malaysian legend Nicol David.
Elsewhere, Asian Games medallist Abhay Singh won the men’s finals title in the Indian Open Squash 2026 event after defeating his compatriot Veer Chotrani in straight sets by 3-0 (11-9, 11-8, 11-4).
