The United States is set to host Hungary for the upcoming Billie Jean King Cup playoffs scheduled in November between 20 to 22, 2026.

18-time champions U.S. are back on track in women’s team tennis. The team lost to Belgium by 3-1 to qualify for the finals of the event. All the playoff winners will advance to the 2027 qualifiers event, while the losing teams will head to regional events next year.
Hungary is expected to include players like Anna Bondar, a BJK Cup regular who claimed her recent win over No. 7-ranked Elina Svitolina on Thursday, April 23 at the ongoing Madrid Open. Bondar became the first Hungarian woman to defeat a top-10 player. Earlier Timea Babos of Hungary had beaten Coco Vandeweghe in 2018.
In Thursday’s draw game for the Cup playoffs, France will host Australia in their first meeting since the 2019 finals which France won in Perth. On the other hand, Brazil will host 2023 champion Canada.
Besides Belgium, other qualifying teams for the finals are defending champion Italy, Britain, Kazakhstan, Spain, Czech Republic, and Ukraine. China, the host nation, has qualified automatically.
Defending World Champions Italy are coming off strong as they scored a 3-1 win over Japan in the Qualifiers. Great Britain has made it to the semi-finals since the last two editions. They have made four BJK Cup Final ties in 1967, 1971, 1972, and 1981 but are yet to win the title.
