Simone Biles, Olympic gymnast is currently resting at home after a medical emergency turned into a near-death experience. She shared the experience on her Instagram stories earlier this week. She called it one of the scariest experiences of her life.
“Almost dying wasn’t on my bingo card earlier this week”.

The incident took place while her husband, Indianapolis Colts safety Jonathan Owens, was away at offseason NFL practice. Even though the situation was scary, Simon has assured her fans that she’s safe, while posting photos of herself in bed with her two French bulldogs. She didn’t disclose the reason for the emergency, yet she promised she would share the details once everything is settled.
Her status for the 2028 Olympics was already unconfirmed, but now with the health scare, it is more uncertain than ever. Last year while talking with the French sports outlet L’Equipe in April she said, “Whether on the apparatus or in the stands, I still don’t know that, but 2028 seems so far away, and my body is ageing. I felt it in Paris.”
Even while speaking with TODAY in January 2026, she didn’t confirm her status, “If I have to say anything, I’m just like, ‘Give me a little bit more time to recover, mentally, physically, We got a little bit more things to do and then we’ll see.”
While her status remains uncertain, the decorated Olympic star is safe and recovering with fans wishing for her health and safety.
