Sanjivani Jadhav edged past Harmilan Bains to win the women’s 5,000m at SAI Centre on Monday.
At the SAI Centre in Kolkata, on Monday, Sanjivani Jadhav moved past Harmilan to win the race in the Indian Athletics Series-11. Jadhav won the race in 16:47:16, while Harmilan finished narrowly behind her at 16:47:43. Sonam Parmar came in third in the race and she recorded a time of 16:49:34.
After the race had started, Sanjivani stayed slightly ahead of everyone. However, during the last lap, Sonam moved forward briefly, but Harmilan took the lead. With 40m to go, Sanjivani secured her lead and won the women’s 5,000 meters.
