VfB Stuttgart is a German women’s football club based in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg. The women’s team of VfB Stuttgart was founded in 2021. Since 2022, the first women’s team has been part of VfB Stuttgart 1893 AG, the company that operates the professional football department of the club. On 28 July, 2022, Heiko Gerber became the head coach, succeeding Lisa Lang, who remained as the team manager. Sascha Glass was appointed as sporting director in 2023.
In the 2023-24 season, the club finished top of Oberliga Baden-Württemberg, securing promotion to the Regionalliga Süd. In 2025, the club won the division title with a 12-0 win over TSV Schwaben Augsburg, earning promotion to the 2. Bundesliga. A year later, they secured back-to-back promotion to the Bundesliga by winning the second division title with a 4-1 win over VfL Wolfsburg II.
The club plays their home games at the GAZi Stadium on the Waldau. Stuttgart women made their Frauen-Bundesliga debut with an historic 2-1 away victory over TSG Hoffenheim on Sunday, August 23rd, 2026. Their captain Maximiliane Rall led the team as she scored 2 goals to secure their very first win in the top-flight.
