Jasmine is carrying her father Balwinder Singh’s dream to represent India in 100 m or 200 m races and to achieve an international medal for the country. Practicing for six hours every day and looked after by her grandfather when it comes to her diet, Jasmine is working hard to turn her father’s dream into reality every day.

Expressing her father’s desires, she said, “He was a 100m and 200m athlete. However, he couldn’t pursue his dream due to lack of guidance. He played at the state level, but I will make sure to play for India one day to fulfil his dream. I will be going to represent the country in the Asian and Commonwealth Games not this year, but definitely in the next edition… and might be in the Olympics too.”

On July 9, 2025, Jasmine got suspended under a provisional period by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) after failing a dope test. As per reports, she tested positive for terbutaline, a drug used to treat breathing disorders, which is commonly found in cough syrups.
