Indian women boxers’ campaign at the final day 2026 Asian Boxing Championships ended on a brilliant run. Four gold medals were won on Thursday, April 9, as India finished on top of the medal tally in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. India’s Minakshi, Preeti Pawar, Priya and Arundhati won gold in their respective events each.

In the 48kg event, Minakshi started the gold medal medal streak for India while registering an impressive win by 5-0 over Nomundari Enkh-Amgalan. Pawar (54kg) continued the run with the second gold for India. She defeated three-time world champion and 2020 Tokyo Olympics medallist Huang Hsiao of Chinese Taipei.
Meanwhile, Priya (60kg) and Arundhati (70kg) added the third and fourth gold medals for India and were crowned as the Asian champions. India’s Jaismine Lamboria finished with a silver medal after losing the women’s 57kg final. Alfiya Pathan also lost the women’s 80+kg final.
The women’s squad was led by head coach Santiago Neva. With the impressive run, the women’s team finished their campaign ahead of China and Kazakhstan in the medal standings.
