A picture of India Women’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur, along with her name, has been placed replacing the old ‘ladies’ label. The picture was shared by a Mumbai local passenger on his X account and has since gained quite the attention on social media.
The passenger shared a picture and captioned it, stating, “Spotted Harmanpreet on the Mumbai local today, welcome change that women are getting represented like this.” Mumbai Indians has shared a video that captures not only Harmanpreet Kaur, but also Amanjot Kaur.
People heap praise on the initiative
Citing the steps of the Mumbai local authorities, people made heartfelt comments on the picture shared on X. The comment highlighted Harmanpreet’s notable career and the impact she had made worldwide.
One person mentioned the station of the Mumbai local train where he saw the picture of Harmanpreet. The person wrote, “Saw this in harbour line today.. Noiceee.”
In another comment, a person wrote that the honour for Harmanpreet should have been done long back, but came into effect now. The message read as, “This was so long overdue.”
