Team captains reflecting on their respective performances

Indian team captain Harmanpreet Kaur, thanked her supporters and others for staying close with the team despite the loss and the experience they gained from playing against a team like Australia.

Kaur said, “We started really well, playing good cricket in the T20s but we were unfortunately not able to continue. Always nice playing in Australia. It was great fun and in future also, we hope we will keep getting tournaments – it gives us confidence. Test cricket is something we want to play. Pink-ball was certainly a challenge. Staff has been great and they have given us a lot of support. Thank you to the Indian fans and cricket fans.”

Meanwhile, Alyssa Healy, the Australia captain is excited to see the team led by Sophie Molineux and wants to help the team ahead as an ex-player providing her share of experiences and guidance.

“Long live Test cricket, and hopefully we get more of it. I am going to enjoy the next little bit, and sing the team song one final time. Excited to see this group, led by Sophie Molineux, and hopefully I can turn into that bitter ex-player who tells them how to do stuff (laughs). On a personal note, thank you very much for all the love and support.”
