Pakistan, who sealed a comprehensive whitewash over Zimbabwe across both formats in May (3-0 in ODIs and 3-0 in T20Is), will open their campaign against India at Edgbaston, Birmingham, on 14 June (7 PM IST), the 6th match of the tournament, where Fatima’s pace attack and a retooled top order will be put to an early stern test against Harmanpreet Kaur’s India.

Fatima Sana’s 15-member squad blends experience with fresh faces, and includes five players set to make their Women’s T20 World Cup debuts: Eyman Fatima, Natalia Parvaiz, Rameen Shamim, Saira Jabeen and Tasmia Rubab.

Fatima Sana (C), Gull Feroza, Ayesha Zafar, Iram Javed, Eyman Fatima, Aliya Riaz, Natalia Parvaiz, Saira Jabeen, Muneeba Ali, Tuba Hassan, Rameen Shamim, Sadia Iqbal, Nashra Sandhu, Diana Baig, Tasmia Rubab

Gull Feroza, fresh from a spectacular ODI series against Zimbabwe in which she struck two hundreds, arrives in fine form and will bolster Pakistan’s top order in only her second T20 World Cup appearance. Experienced wicket-keeper batter Muneeba Ali and the seasoned Ayesha Zafar provide solidity and game-management at the top and middle, while Iram Javed and Aliya Riaz add conventional middle-order firepower and all-round balance.

The inclusion of debutants Natalia Parvaiz, Eyman Fatima, Saira Jabeen and the pace prospect Tasmia Rubab indicates Pakistan’s intent to widen their options, particularly in the seam department, where depth has become a strategic priority.

Historically and currently, Pakistan’s strongest suit is their bowling, and this squad underscores that identity. Fatima Sana will spearhead the attack with full responsibility, supported by Diana Baig’s swing and bounce up front and Tasmia Rubab’s raw pace as an additional option. The spin corps features a blend of experience and variation: veteran left-arm orthodox Nashra Sandhu, the left-arm finger-spin of Sadia Iqbal, and wrist-spinner Tuba Hassan.

Rameen Shamim offers handy off-spin, which can be used in multiple roles, strengthening Pakistan’s bowling bank. Pakistan will arrive in England on a wave of momentum after the home series versus Zimbabwe from 4–15 May 2026, where they blitzed the visitors with 3-0 whitewashes in both the three-match ODI and three-match T20I series. That clean sweep served as both a confidence booster and a live examination of match-ready combinations ahead of the World Cup.

Before their campaign in England and Wales, Fatima Sana’s side will fine-tune combinations in a tri-series in Ireland that also includes the West Indies and runs from 28 May to 4 June. Pakistan are scheduled for two official warm-up fixtures: against Sri Lanka on 6 June at Derby and versus Scotland on 9 June, also at Derby. Those matches, plus the tri-nation series, will be critical for finalising batting orders, assessing how the new faces handle pressure, and sharpening death-bowling plans in English conditions.

Pakistan became the eighth nation to name their T20 World Cup squad after England, New Zealand, India, Bangladesh, Scotland, South Africa and Australia. The 2026 edition is the 10th staging of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup and has been expanded from 10 to 12 teams (up from nine teams in 2024), offering a broader competitive field and more opportunities for emerging nations.

Pakistan have featured in every edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup but are yet to breach the knockout stage. With a blend of emerging talent, experienced campaigners and the identity built around bowling, reinforced by recent whitewash wins, Fatima Sana’s side will approach this expanded tournament determined to make the breakthrough and record the nation’s first deep run in T20 World Cup history.
