They are not only known for their relationships but also have prolific careers as individual footballers and as powerful role models.

Kristie Mewis and Sam Kerr have been in a relationship since 2021, followed by their engagement in 2023. The two first met during a US National Women’s Soccer League tournament match in 2019. This year, the two stars announced the birth of their son, Jagger Mewis-Kerr, on May 8.

Mewis is currently a midfielder of the West Ham United club of the Women’s Super League and represents the US national team. Meanwhile, Kerr is a former captain of Australia’s national women’s team and currently plays for Chelsea as a striker.

2. Julia Zigiotti Olme and Emma Kullberg

Sweden international players Julia Zigiotti Olme and Emma Kullberg started dating in 2019 after meeting each other through mutual friends and while playing together in Sweden. The two then started living together when Emma played for Gothenburg and got engaged in 2023 after Zigiotti proposed.

Julia is a defensive midfielder forManchester United, while Emma plays as a defender for Juventus of the Italian Serie A.

3. Magdalena Eriksson and Pernille Harder

In 2023, Bayern Munich signed Eriksson and Harder on a three-year contract. The duo started dating in 2014 while they played together in Sweden. They are also one of the most popular LGBTQ advocates in sports.

Both are currently playing for the Frauen-Bundesliga club Bayern Munich. The two are rivals on the field but partners in life who represented different countries at the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025.

4. Beth Mead and Vivianne Miedema

Vivianne Miedema and Beth Mead celebrated their three-year anniversary this year. They started their relationship when they were teammates at Arsenal back in 2022 and have won the 2019 Women’s Super League (WSL) title together.

After suffering from an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, both footballers missed out on playing in the 2023 World Cup.

While Mead continues to play for Arsenal as a forward, Miedema now plays for Manchester City as an attacking midfielder.

5. Amy James-Turner and Angharad James-Turner

The two were engaged in December 2020 and got married in June 2023. They played for Tottenham Hotspur together for a while, and after their wedding, they started playing under the combined surname in 2024.

They have also set up a mobile coffee van business named ‘Two Sides Grind’ with a dream of opening a coffee shop someday.

Angharad currently plays as a midfielder for the National Women’s Soccer League club Seattle Reign FC, while Amy continues to play for Tottenham.
