After missing out on the season-opener, Indian professional golfer Vani Kapoor will be seen in action at the second leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour to be held at the Kalhaar Blues and Greens in Ahmedabad. Vani topped the Order of Merit after winning five-times in 2025 and will be joined by some other leading golfers on the tour. A total of 40 players will be part of the event, including Vani.
As per the release, the event features players like Jasmine Shekar (last week’s winner), Ridhima Dilawari (runner-up), and other names, including Amandeep Drall, Sneha Singh, Heena Kang, Seher Atwal, Vidhatri Urs, and emerging star Saanvi Somu.
Jasmine will look to add another winning title to her name, while Ridhima, who was close to victory, will try to cross the finish line this time. Meanwhile, Amandeep is trying to regain her form for the Ladies European Tour. Saanvi, who has made podium finishes on several occasions, will try to achieve her maiden title on the WPG Tour.
Besides Saanvi, other young golfers included in the tour are Zara Anand and Mahreen Bhatia, who will be college-going golfers in the US by the end of 2026. In the Bangalore Golf Club and DLF GCC, Zara finished as runner-up. Mahreen became the first amateur golfer to win the final and 15th leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour, held in 2025 in Noida at the Jaypee Wishtown Golf Course, after defeating Vani by three shots.
Round 1 of the second leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour in Ahmedabad will see defending champion Jasmine play in the first pairing in the two-ball event alongside Gourabi Bhowmick. Meanwhile, Vani pairs in the thirteenth group with Ravjot Dosanjh and Vidhatri Urs. The final group pairings include Khushi Khanijau, Amandeep Drall, and Ridhima Dilawari.
