The experience has set her next goal in the 2027 World Masters Games in Japan, where she will participate along with her 23-year-old son, Jai Singh. At last year’s Open Masters Games in Taiwan, Sarvjeet made her debut and bagged a bronze medal.

Talking about her participation in the Open Masters during an interview, Sarvjeet shared her experience of competing alongside the young talents and the emerging victories among them. She, however, hopes to bring in a positive change among the retired and former players.

She said, “It makes me feel more young. Like seeing these people, so energetic. Like seeing new people, meeting new friends. It brings joy and positivity to people. I see people coming out of retirement or former players coming back to compete in the sports they loved all through their lives. We make new friends. That’s the best part of the Games.”

Savjeet, a notable Master Athlete of India, who had announced her retirement earlier following the death of her son-in-law, returned to professional archery after coming out of three years of depression and counselling. It was her son who convinced her mother to take a step further and devote herself further to archery.

It was on January 17 at the 6th Thailand Open Masters Games 2026, held in Bangkok, that Sarvjeet participated in the event as the reigning champion with a gold medal win. The two-time champion proves her consistency and skills at the age of 57, having established her career as one of the best performers in Masters Archery.

Sarvjeey’s son Jai is a professional archer and is looking to make his debut for India in the Olympics. Meanwhile, he is set to coach his mother and give her a new pathway in the sports world.

Besides archery, Sarvjeet had been an active sportswoman throughout her school and college life spent in Dehradun, having participated in several sports events. After completing her graduation, she decided to take up a professional career in archery. She juggled throughout her life while managing and catering to her different roles played as a player, mother and wife.
