The 17-year-old from Delhi made a remarkable jump of 12 places following her breakthrough triumph at the 2026 Squash On Fire Open in Washington, where she secured her maiden PSA Bronze-level title. The victory marked a significant milestone in her young career and underlined her rapid rise on the international circuit.

Singh currently has 387 ranking points accumulated from 13 tournaments, making her the highest-ranked Indian in women’s singles. She also stands as the top-ranked Indian squash player across both men’s and women’s categories.

Veteran Joshna Chinappa remains the next best Indian in women’s singles, moving up one place to world No. 74 in the updated rankings. In the men’s draw, Abhay Singh is India’s leading player, ranked world No. 29 with 292 points from 17 tournaments.

Anahat’s title-winning run in Washington was highlighted by a statement victory over England’s Georgina Kennedy, the world No. 10 and top seed, in the final. Despite the loss, Kennedy benefitted from her deep run at the tournament, moving up one place to world No. 9.

With squash set to make its Olympic debut at the Los Angeles 2028 Games, Anahat Singh’s rapid ascent has further strengthened her reputation as one of India’s brightest medal prospects in the sport.
