In the 2024 edition, India qualified for the semi-finals and got its first-ever bronze medal. The 2025 event will see younger and enthusiastic youth squash players. In the women’s singles event, young star Anahat Singh and veteran Joshna Chinappa will lead the category. Meanwhile, the men’s singles event will be led by Abhay Singh and Velavan Senthilkumar. Saurav Ghosal, who won a bronze medal in 2024, will be absent from this year’s tournament.

Squash World Cup 2025 Format

The 12 participating teams have been distributed into four groups of three teams. Only two teams from each group will then qualify for the knockout stage. From there, the eight teams will then compete against each other in a knockout format, starting with the quarterfinals and later ending with the finals.

Meanwhile, in case of a tie, four matches will be played in which each and every player from the teams will fight against an opponent competing for the best of 5 games and for 7 points. With every win, a team will get two points in the first and one point in the second male and female matches.
