India’s women’s hockey team is gearing up for the upcoming Argentina tour. The tour is scheduled to be held from 13 to 17 April 2026 in Buenos Aires. On Wednesday, April 8, Hockey India announced a 24-member squad for the tour. The four-match tour is expected to provide the women in blue with crucial preparation for the upcoming 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup.

Under head coach Sjoerd Marijne, Salima Tete will lead the Indian women’s team. Star forward Deepika is making her return to the team after an injury. She had also missed her run at the FIH Women’s World Cup Qualifiers in Hyderabad held last month.
