21-year-old Linda Nosková jumped to a career-high number seven after winning her maiden Grand Slam at Wimbledon.
Nosková moved into the WTA Top 10 just behind compatriot Karolina Muchova, whom she defeated to earn her maiden Grand Slam title.
The Czech won her third WTA title and first major, after recovering from wasting five match points in the second set to beat Muchova 6-2, 5-7, 6-3, in London.
Aryna Sabalenka, who lost at Wimbledon in the round of 16 against Japan’s Naomi Osaka, remains World No. 1 ahead of Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina, who fell in the third round to Belgium’s Elise Mertens.
Jessica Pegula, who had a quarter-final run at Wimbledon, moved up one place to third, ahead of compatriot Coco Gauff, who jumped three places to fourth after her semifinal run at the All England Club.
