Pusarla Venkata Sindhu is an Indian badminton player. She is considered to be one of India’s most successful athletes and has won several medals at events such as the Olympics, World Tour Championships, and the World Tour. She is the first and only Indian to become the badminton world champion and the second individual from India to win two consecutive medals at the Olympic Games. She entered the top 20 BWF rankings in September 2012, at the age of 17.
