India Women’s white-ball fixtures against Australia ended on March 1, 2026. On March 6, they began their Only Test match series, which they will play over four days. On Day 1, March 6, the Australians are trailing by 102 runs after finishing their innings at 96/3 in 27 overs. India Women won the three-match T20Is 2-1, while Australia won the ODIs 3-0.

After winning the toss Australia Women elected to field. India started the innings with a batting lineup that saw some decent performance from the lineup. Openers Smriti Mandhana (4 off 13) and Shafali Verma (35 off 48) made a decent start, while Pratika Rawal contributed with 18 runs off 43 balls.
Jemimah Rodrigues was the high scorer of India’s innings, scoring 52 runs off 84 balls. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur added 19 off 15, while Deepti Sharma got 7 off 30. Kashvee Gautam was another valuable scorer who was not out at 34 runs off 54 balls.
India ended their innings at 198 all-out in 62.4 overs. Annabel Sutherland (4/46) and Lacy Hamilton (3/31) were the star bowlers securing seven wickets combined. Darcie Brown picked up two, while Ashleigh Gardner claimed one.
Australia Women opened their innings losing their openers Georgia Voll (2 off 8) and Phoebe Litchfield (9 off 39). Captain Alyssa Healy added 13 runs off 27 balls. The two not-out batters of the team who will resume playing on Day 2 are Ellyse Perry and Sutherland. Ellyse is currently with 43* runs in 62 balls, while Sutherland is with 20* off 29.
India Women bowlers Sayali Satghare (2/24) and Kranti Gaud (1 off 11) were the only wicket takers claiming three wickets so far. They will look to add more in the next day when they resume playing.
The Only Test series between the India and Australia Women’s teams will be played from March 6 to 9 at the WACA Ground.
