Australia Women will tour the West Indies for a six-white-ball series starting from March 19 to April 2. They will begin the tour with a three-match T20Is that will serve as preparation for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England scheduled later this year. The series follows with a three-match ODIs from March 27 to April 2.

Molineux’s return to the squad comes after her recovery from a back injury that got her sidelined for a majority of the matches in the recently concluded multi-format series against India. She will join the team’s 15-player touring party, which will be travelling to the Caribbean.

Tahlia Wilson, the uncapped batter has earned her place in the squad for the West Indies Tour. Meanwhile, Lucy Hamilton and Nicola Carey have been retained after performing some brilliant innings in the multi-format series against India. On the disappointing side, Grace Harris has been left out of the squad, while Annabel Sutherland has been rested keeping in mind the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Australia Women set for new beginnings

Following the release of the squad, Chief selector Shawn Flegler says the Caribbean tour will play a crucial role for the team ahead of the 2026 T20 Women’s World Cup. He welcomes Molineux as Australia Women’s new captain following the retirement of Alyssa Healy.
