The second spot at the T20 Women’s World Cup final against Australia has been booked by England.

England women defeated the Proteas women by 40 runs at The Oval, on Thursday, in the second semifinal to advance to the finals.
The English women’s team will now have to battle it out for the T20 Women’s World Cup title with their oldest foes and six-time Champions, Australia, on Sunday, July 5th. The two teams will meet in the title decider for the fourth time; they’ve previously met in the finals of the shorter format of the World Cup in 2012, 2014, and 2018.
The match will be played at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London on Sunday, July 5, and the contest will begin at 3:30pm local time.
Australia took their place in the final after defeating the West Indies by eight wickets at The Oval on Tuesday.
England will look to add a second T20 World Cup trophy to their cabinet after having won the 2009 inaugural edition — which was held at Lord’s. Compared to them, their opponents, Australia, have won the competition six times in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2018, 2020, and 2023 and will be looking to claim their seventh under their new captain — Sophie Molineux.
British musicians Rita Ora and Clean Bandit will be performing at the Women’s T20 World Cup final as the edition comes to an end.
Rita Ora will headline the closing ceremony from 2:30pm British Standard Time. At the same time, the multi-platinum electronic pop band Clean Bandit will perform as the grand finale, once the champion is crowned.
