In a brilliant display of skill and competitive spirit, Anupriya, fencing athlete representing Sports Authority of India (SAI), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and an employee of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), clinched the individual silver medal at the 33rd National Junior Fencing Championship 2025–26, held recently in Cuttack, Odisha.
The championship, one of the premier junior fencing events in the country, brought together promising young talent from across India to compete in various fencing disciplines under the banner of the Fencing Association of India (FAI). Participants showcased exceptional skill in épée, foil, and sabre categories, reflecting the depth of emerging talent in Indian fencing.
Anupriya’s performance stood out as she battled through a strong field of competitors to secure the silver medal in her individual event, adding a significant achievement to her sporting career. Her success at this championship not only highlights her personal dedication and training but also brings pride to the SAI Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar fencing program and the CISF, where she serves both as an athlete and a service professional.
