The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has announced that the second phase of the Indian Women’s League 2025-26 will commence on Monday, April 27, in Kolkata. The tournament will begin with the first game between East Bengal FC versus Sribhumi FC, at the East Bengal Ground. Earlier, Phase 1 was held from December 20, 2025, to January 9, 2026, with a total of 27 matches.

The remaining 29 matches will be played in Phase 2 starting from April 27 to May 18, featuring eight teams in total playing in the double round-robin format. The matches will be played across two venues, the AIFF National Centre of Excellence and the East Bengal Ground. The timing of the matches is scheduled at 3pm and 7pm both in IST.
Defending champions East Bengal FC sit at the top of the table with 18 points earned from six games. Sesa FA with one point and Kickstart FC with six are currently in the relegation spots. The team with the most points will be named the champions. Meanwhile, the seventh and eighth-placed teams will be moved to IWL 2 next season.
On the other hand, the top two teams from the IWL 2 2025-26 final round will be qualified for the IWL 2026-27.
