Kerr said, “When I reflect on my Chelsea career and doing it for the last time, I just feel happy. Happy that it happened, and I feel so grateful to have played for this club for six years and won as many trophies as we could.”

After her final match at Stamford Bridge, she said, “All good things must come to an end — and I feel like it’s the right time. Of course, it’s sad. It’s been my home,” she said of her farewell after six-and-a-half years at Chelsea. I love playing here. It’s one of the best leagues in the world. I play with the best players every day. So there are a lot of hard things about leaving, but all good things must come to an end, and I feel like it’s the right time.”

“Everyone who knows me knows I’m not much of a crier. I always like to see the positives in things. I honestly just feel really happy. I feel really honoured and lucky to have been a part of this and to have had six-and-a-half years here. So yeah, it’s just happiness.”

Samantha has scored 116 goals in 158 matches. She shares this all-time record with Fran Kirby.

She has won 5 WSL trophies with Chelsea, three FA Cups, three League Titles, and a Community Shield. Which is a massive and very impressive tally over just six and a half years. Kerr has also won two WSL Golden Boots.

During her time at NWSL, Kerr won the MVP award in 2017 and 2019. She also won the Golden Boot in three seasons, 2017, 2018, and 2019.
