Speaking of Sabalenka, she used to be world No. 1 in women’s doubles and has won the 2019 US Open and the 2021 US Open with Elise Mertens. However, she has played very little mixed doubles throughout her professional career.

What about Novak Djokovic?
Djokovic also treats mixed doubles as a casual venture, and occasionally as a national duty, playing almost exclusively when representing Serbia at team events or the Olympics.
He has had a few partners in mixed doubles: Nina Stojanović (2020 Tokyo Olympics), Ana Ivanovic (Hopman Cup), Olga Danilović (United Cup), and Jelena Janković.
The best place Djokovic has reached is 4th place at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Djokovic and Nina Stojanović reached the semi-finals in Tokyo. After losing in the semis, Djokovic was forced to withdraw from the Bronze Medal match due to a shoulder injury and physical fatigue, leaving them in 4th place.
He also reached the Hopman Cup Finals (2008, 2013) alongside Ana Ivanovic in a mixed team setting.
What makes him a good doubles player?
He neutralises the heavy serves from male opponents and puts the receiver’s side on the offensive.
Djokovic is an expert at finding the weaker opponent on court and directs the game with precision.
