Manisha Bhanwala made headlines after leading Maharashtra Kesari to a strong victory in Match 6 in the women’s 57kg category over Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals by 6–3 in the ongoing Pro Wrestling League 2026. This was Maharashtra’s first win of the 2026 season and earned two match points. In addition to that, Bhanwala earned the Player of the Match award, while Mukul Dahiya of Tiigers was named Fighter of the Match for their action-packed performances.

Maharashtra Kesari were dominant from the start, starting with a win in the women’s 57kg category. They started their lead in the 62kg event when Dudova Bilyana Zhivkova dominated over Sarika Malik, through repeated turns ending in a comfortable win by 11–2. The flow was followed by another brilliant win in the 65kg event, with Tevanyan Vazgen taking a decisive win, registering her fifth straight win.
In the men’s 74kg category, Yash stunned Naveen Malik by clinching a brilliant win of 13–5. In addition to that, in the 76kg women’s match, Harshita Mor got a comfortable win against Jyoti Berwal by 4–1. Another major win for Kesari came from its captain, Robert Baran, who showcased a composed performance in the 125kg contest. Baran edged past Oleksandr Khotsianivskyi, finishing off strong in the second round by 5–3.
Manisha’s performance was the fourth victory of the day that extended Kesari’s lead to 4-0 after defeating her opponent, Alina Filipovych, in a powerful battle.
Tiigers get three wins against Maharashtra Kesari
Meanwhile, Tiigers registered three wins of the day in the latter half. The first win came in the 86kg men’s category where Mukul Dahiya showcased a fierce and high-intense action over Amit. Through successive takedown and exposure sequences, Mukul defeated Amit by 18-11.
On the other hand, Tiigers’ captain Aman Sehrawat got the second win for the team in the 57kg men’s category. The Paris Olympic Bronze medalist match showcased his aggressive style and a powerful performance that got him the victory over Sumit Malik by a dominating lead of 14–5.
Jyoti Sihag got the final win of the team in the 53kg women’s category after edging past Paris 2024 Silver medalist Guzman Lopez Yusneylis. Sihag earned an empathic win in the final minutes of the match to get Tiigers their third and final win of the day.
Returning after seven years, the Pro Wrestling League 2026 began from January 15 and will continue until February 1 at the Noida Indoor Stadium. The event features six teams in participation, including Tiigers of Mumbai Dangal, Maharashtra Kesari, Punjab Royals, UP Dominators, Delhi Dangal Warriors, and Haryana Thunders, that will compete under the league and knockout format.
