While the team result went against them, the women wrestlers once again stood at the heart of the action as Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals wrapped up a difficult Pro Wrestling League (PWL) 2026 campaign. In Match 13 at the Noida Indoor Stadium, Delhi Dangal Warriors clinched a 6-3 win to stay alive in the semi-final race, with several decisive contributions coming from the women’s contests.

Delhi’s female wrestlers laid a strong foundation early in the tie, starting with an attacking display from Anjli in the 62kg category. She outwrestled Olha Padoshyk 19-10, producing a pair of four-point throws during the Power Minute to firmly swing momentum in Delhi’s favour.
The gap widened further in the 76kg bout, where Anastasiya Alpyeeva delivered one of the standout performances of the night. After conceding an early activity point to Jyoti Berwal, Alpyeeva quickly turned the contest around with a sharp takedown and exposure before pinning her opponent to the mat. Her dominant showing earned her the Player of the Match award.
Delhi continued to control proceedings in the women’s divisions as Karla Godinez Gonzalez showcased composure and tactical discipline in the 57kg contest. She dictated the pace against Pushpa throughout the bout and sealed a comfortable 9-1 victory, finishing with a four-point takedown in the Power Minute.
Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals finally found some respite through Jyoti Sihag in the 53kg category. In one of the most competitive women’s bouts of the tie, Sihag absorbed early pressure from Saarika before mounting a spirited comeback. Her strong second-period offence and a decisive takedown in the Power Minute helped her secure a 12-9 win, a performance that was later recognised with the Fighter of the Match award.
Despite Sihag’s resilience, Mumbai were unable to claw their way back into the tie, and the defeat confirmed a winless season for the franchise in PWL 2026. For Delhi Dangal Warriors, the collective effort from their women wrestlers proved crucial in securing the two match points and keeping their semi-final hopes intact.
With one league fixture remaining, Delhi remain in contention for a spot in the knockouts, while Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals exit the tournament still searching for their first team victory. The focus now shifts to Matchday 12, where UP Dominators will face Haryana Thunders, with live coverage on Sony Sports Ten 4, Ten 5 and Sony LIV.
