Navneet Kaur was born in Shahabad Markanda in Haryana, a town widely known as a hub of Indian women’s hockey that has produced several international players.

Growing up in a sporting environment, Navneet developed an early interest in hockey and trained at the Shahabad Hockey Academy, one of India’s most prominent grassroots training centres for women’s hockey. Her natural speed and attacking instincts helped her rise quickly through junior competitions and state-level tournaments.

Her consistent performances soon earned her a place in the Indian junior national team, setting the stage for her international career.

Navneet made her senior debut for India in 2016 and soon became a regular member of the national team’s forward line. She was part of the Indian squad that won the silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, one of India’s major achievements in women’s hockey in recent years.
