Sri Lanka Women have opted for continuity with a touch of experimentation as they named a 15-member squad for their upcoming white-ball tour of the West Indies. The tour, scheduled from February 20 to March 3, 2026, will feature three One-Day Internationals (ODIs), followed by three T20 Internationals (T20Is), at the National Cricket Stadium in St George’s, Grenada.

The squad is largely carried forward from Sri Lanka’s previous assignment against India in December, underlining the selectors’ confidence in the core group while making a few strategic adjustments suited to Caribbean conditions.
Experienced all-rounder Chamari Athapaththu continues to lead the side across formats, remaining central to Sri Lanka’s plans with both bat and ball. The top-order retains a settled look with Hasini Perera, Vishmi Gunaratne and Harshitha Samarawickrama providing stability, while Imesha Dulani, Kavisha Dilhari and Nilakshika de Silva offer versatility in the middle order.
Sri Lanka’s bowling attack continues to feature established names such as Inoka Ranaweera and Nimesha Madushani. However, there are notable changes from the squad that toured India for the five-match T20I series. Malsha Shehani and Shashini Gimhani miss out this time, with Dewmi Vihanga and Sugandika Kumari drafted in as part of a minor reshuffle in the bowling department.
The tour also presents opportunities for several players still finding their feet across formats. Twenty-three-year-old right-hand batter Kaushini Nuthyanganha, who has featured in 11 T20Is, is yet to make her ODI debut. Slow left-arm orthodox bowler Nimisha Madushani and left-arm medium pacer Rashmika Sewwandi are in a similar position, having represented Sri Lanka in T20Is but awaiting their first appearances in the 50-over format.
Dewmi Vihanga, meanwhile, arrives with strong ODI credentials, having taken 11 wickets in six matches, including a standout five-wicket haul. Despite her success in ODIs, she is still uncapped in T20Is and could be in line for a debut during this tour. Sugandika Kumari’s return adds further experience to the spin attack. The left-arm orthodox bowler brings a strong track record, with 42 wickets from 49 ODIs and 64 wickets in 88 T20Is, a skill set that could prove vital on slower Caribbean pitches.
With a mix of proven performers and emerging talent, Sri Lanka will aim to strike the right balance as they face the challenge of touring the West Indies. Under Athapaththu’s leadership, the side will be hoping to translate continuity and adaptability into competitive performances away from home.
