The series will serve as a crucial preparation for the team as they gear up for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 scheduled later this year in England and Wales. After the T20Is, the teams will head to Warner Park in St. Kitts and Nevis for a three-match ODIs.

Hosts West Indies can bring out their best performance through this series facing one of the current dominant women’s teams. The Indies had recently faced Sri Lanka women’s national cricket team in the home series which they lost. Sri Lanka won the three-match ODI series by 2-1, but the hosts striked back in the final match through captain Hayley Matthews’ remarkable century that led the team to a six-wicket victory.

The West Indies women’s squad includes a mix of young talent and the experienced stars Stafanie Taylor, Deandra Dottin, Matthews, and wicketkeeper-batter Shemaine Campbelle. Campbelle is enroute to her 150th T20I cap which she will claim from the series. The young talent includes playera like Eboni Brathwaite and Jahzara Claxton.
