The stage is set for the 2nd Women’s Hockey India League (HIL), scheduled to begin from December 28, 2025, to January 10, 2026, at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astro Turf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi. The league stage starts with the four-team double round-robin format.
The defending champions, Odisha Warriors, have withdrawn from this year’s participation and will be replaced by the Ranchi Royals. Delhi SG Pipers and host team Royals will play the opening fixture of the tournament, setting the way for the 13 days of hockey action.
This time, Argentina’s goal scorers, Agustina Gorzelany and María José Granatto, will get their experience to use. Meanwhile, top scorers from the previous edition, including Yibbi Jansen of the Netherlands and Charlotte Englebert, are not part of the second edition.
Deepika Sehrawat, Sonam and Lalremsiami are the players to look out for in the Women’s HIL 2025-26. Deepika was India’s top scorer at the 2025 FIH Pro-League, while Sonam, as part of the Soorma Hockey Club, scored four goals in the inaugural edition and led her team into the finals. Lalremsiami, the Indian midfielder, has scored 40 international goals so far, including three in the 2025 Women’s Asia Cup.

All matches of the Women’s HIL 2025-26 will be broadcast live on television across Sony Sports Ten 1, Sony Sports Ten 3 and DD Sports channels. Meanwhile, the live-streaming will be available on OTT platforms, including the Waves app and the HIL YouTube channel.
