Karnataka’s Tilottama Sen Ends NSCC Campaign with 11 Medals, Including Six Gold

Karnataka’s Tilottama Sen ended her campaign at the 68th National Shooting Championship (NSCC) held at the MP State Shooting Academy with eleven medals bagged across different categories, formats, and age groups in rifle events. The Asian silver medallist claimed six gold medals, two silvers, and three bronzes. Out of the eleven wins, the highlight was the Golden Doubles and 50m Rifle 3P Women Youth gold.

Tilottama’s first gold medal in the individual category was won in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Women, followed by a gold in the Youth Women individual event. The rifle shooter ended with a score of 466.9 (591-29x) to win the women’s 50m rifle 3 positions finals. Meanwhile, Kerala’s Vidarsa K. Vinod finished in silver with a score of 462.9, and Railways’ Ayonika Paul ended with a bronze medal after ending the event with 451.8. Another gold medal in the 50m Rifle 3P came in the junior women’s team event.

On the other hand, Tilottama bagged three golds in the 10m Air Rifle event. This includes a golden double in junior and youth women categories and one in the youth women’s team event. In the 10m Air Rifle Junior Women final, Karnataka’s Tilottama Sen carried her strong qualification form into the final to claim gold with 253.1. Meanwhile, in the Youth Women’s final, she finished with a score of 251.6 to bag the second medal of the day.

On the other hand, Haryana’s Ameerah Arshad gained attention from her gold medal win in the 10m Air Rifle Women finals. She ended her performance with a score of 251.9, finishing just 0.1 point ahead of Railways’ Rajshree Anilkumar Sancheti, who ended with silver on 251.8. Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh’s Pranju Shree Somani bagged the bronze medal with a score of 230.5. Tilottama finished fourth (208.9) in the list, followed by Kajal Kumari (187.9) and Sakshi Sunil Padekar (166.2).
