India’s Sheetal Devi has got her challenger in the archery sport. The reigning world champion was stunned by world’s first female limbless archer, Payal Nag. On Saturday, April 4, Devi lost her title at the World Archery Para Series in Bangkok, Thailand to Nag.

The 18-year-old youngster registered a close win by 139-136 in the finals match to win the women’s compound open individual gold medal. This is Nag’s first major win in a senior international tournament.
The match had a close start, with both players tying at 54. Following that Fag took three shots resulting in an advantage herself to lead an win the title. Both Nag and Davi had earlier won the women’s double gold title in the tournament.
Meanwhile, in the recurve section, Bhawna bagged the women’s individual gold medal after defeating hattharaphon Pattawaeo in the fina by 6-0. Paralympic Champion Harvinder Singh finished with a silver after losing the men’s recurve finals by 3-7 to Indonesia’s Kholidin. India had ended their campaign in the tournament at the top of the medal tally with seven golds, three silver, and three bronze medals.
