Scotland and Ireland confirmed their spots at the Women’s T20 World Cup after decisive wins in the final round of the global qualifier in Nepal, sealing qualification for the tournament to be held in England from June 12 to July 5.

Both teams advanced through the group stage into the Super Six and produced strong performances in their last matches to finish inside the top four, alongside Bangladesh and the Netherlands.
Ireland booked their fifth World Cup appearance with a dominant 62-run victory over Thailand. Openers Gaby Lewis and Amy Hunter laid the platform before Orla Prendergast added late momentum to take Ireland to 120. The bowling unit then delivered a clinical display, led by Arlene Kelly, who celebrated her 100th international cap with figures of 4 for 7, dismantling the Thailand batting order.
Scotland followed suit with a commanding 41-run win over the United States. Darcey Carter anchored the innings with a composed half-century, while Ailsa Lister and Priyanaz Chatterji provided valuable support as Scotland posted a competitive total of 178. The bowlers ensured there was no late drama, with Kathryn Bryce striking early and Chatterji, Chloe Abel, and Rachel Slatter applying consistent pressure to seal the result.
Finishing third in the Super Six standings, Scotland qualified for the Women’s T20 World Cup for only the second time, building on their debut appearance at the previous edition and highlighting their steady rise on the international stage.
